Glyka Nera

The southern part of Crete has many surprises to reveal, and this area around Sfakia is full of beautiful small gulfs with blue green waters. These you will have to explore either by boat or on foot, through the narrow dirt roads. You can also reach Glyka Nera by boat from Chora Sfakion (or walk the dirt road from there).  The beach was named after the sweet water springs that also make the sea chillier, even in mid summer. Take a seat under a tree or walk to the canteen up the rock. And feel privileged, really privileged.
