Concert with Ross Daly - Zohar Fresco - Kelly Thoma

The Cultural Company of Panormo 'Epimenidis' organizes a concert with  Ross Daly (lyra, tarhu, saz), Zohar Fresco (percussion) and Kelly Thoma (lyra)  on Sunday July 28 in the village of Panormo, near the city of Rethymno.

Ross Daly (lyra, tarhu, saz)

The travels of Ross Daly in the world of music defined most of his life. Born in the UK, he traveled with his Irish parents in many countries of the globe and gathered a plethora of sounds and musical experiences. His first musical instrument was a cello and in the age of 12, while in Japan, he started playing the guitar. In the '60s he is found in San Francisco. A bit later he discovers the music traditions of the East that dramatically changed his life...

Zohar Fresco – Percussion

Born in Israel by Turkish parents, Zohar Fresco started playing percussion from a very young age. He soon got carried away by the charm of Eastern music and started collaborating with immigrant musicians from Arab countries. His unique musical experiments  led him to many musical synergies in Israel and abroad.

Kelly Thoma– lyra

Kelly Thoma was born in Piraeus, Greece, and started studying lyra with Ross Daly in 1995. Since 1998 he travels with him and their band 'Labyrinth' in many cities of Europe, Asia, America and Australia. She has collaborated with many well-known musicians of diverse musical backgrounds, influencing the characteristic sounds that derive from her lyra-playing.
