The internationally acclaimed violinist Maria Manousaki organizes a world jazz festival on Wednesday July 22, 2015, at 8:30pm at the  Institute Kapsomenos (Alikianos, Chania).

Three exceptional music groups will present a mix of jazz and Cretan rhythms & melodies.

Together with her New York quartet, Maria Manousaki will present her new album with her new compositions. She is accompanied by internationally acclaimed Guy Mingus (piano), Tigran Sargsyan (ney, vocals), Petros Klampanis (bass), Kostas Anastasiadis (drums).

Ross Daly together with Kelly Thoma (lyra), Yiorgos Manolakis (lute, vocals) and their music group, will present a selection of their more recent (and older) compositions from their unique & authentic modern Modal music repertoire.

Guitarist Yiorgos Limakis will present his project Never The Same comprised by original compositions. With his 'cinematographic style', Limakis combines elements of classical, world & ethnic music, using the 'mechanisms' of jazz in its more european version. Yiorgos Kiourtsoglou (bass), David Lynch (saxophone), Yiannis Kirimkiridis (keyboard) and Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis (drums).
