4th Cretan cuisine Festival in Rousochoria Pediados

The Cultural Association Apostolianon of Heraklion Crete in collaboration with the Pan-Cretan Union of Cultural Associations invite us in the 4th Cretan cuisine Festival on February 14, 2016 starting at 10:30 am at "Pantheon" in the center of Rousochoria Pediados.

The festival invites all Cultural Associations of Crete to participate and present a traditional dish or dessert with materials coming from the Cretan countryside, which forms the basis for the miracle of the Cretan cuisine.

The event is organized under the auspices of the Municipality of Minoa Pediados and is sponsored by Papoutsakis family.

The admission is free and the members and friends of the Cultural Associations will have the opportunity to watch live:

- A speech on "Cretan herbs and their beneficial properties"
- A musical performance dedicated to love
- Musical performances by traditional orchestras of Greece
- A presentation of traditional Cretan dances
- Traditional gastronomy and cooking events, including tastings of traditional dishes
- A variety of parallel events

On the occasion of the World Day against Childhood Cancer on 15 February, the festival honors the great contribution of the local association "ILIACHTIDA" in supporting families with children suffering from cancer by setting a "grocery shop of love" with products offered by the associations and sponsors of the festival. All funds will be offered to the association "ILIACHTIDA".
