Musical Fridays 2016 @Labyrinth - Friday 2/9

Musical Fridays at the Musical Workshop Labyrinth in Houdetsi have developed to one of the most important annual events of Crete. Every Friday throughout the summer, acclaimed musicians from around the world who came to Houdetsi to teach in the music seminars of the Labyrinth share their art with the public for free.

On Friday 2/09, the Labyrinth proudly presents five excellent musicians.

Anna-Maria Hefele, "the girl with two voices", will perform with her unique voice solo polyphonic songs. Anna-Maria, internationally known as the polyphonic singer that achieved the impossible, comes to Crete for the first time.

She will be accompanied by Zohar Fresco, the musician who redefined the sound of the percussion "Bendir" through techiques he personally developed.

Charis Labrakis, one of the greatest teachers of the Musical Worskshop "Labyrinth" and an excellent musician will also be there to present pieces from different musical traditions with his ney, together with Vaggelis Karipis, who taught in the Labyrinth for the first time this summer a seminar on "Percussion in the Greek music tradition, rythmology & techniques, influences from the Balkans, Eastern Mediterannean & North Africa"  and Peppe Frana, who taught the seminar "A modal approach".

At 21:30 in the garden on the Musical Workshop "Labyrinth" (Houdetsi village). Entrance is free.
