The four-day festival in the Musical Workshop of Labyrinth has become one of the most interesting and popular summer festivals. The festival takes place in the vllage of Houdetsi (23km south of Heraklion) and is partly the outcome of the numerous music seminars and workshops organized in Labyrinth throughout the summer with the participation of notable musicians from around the world. Here you will hear ‘evolved’ versions of Cretan music and other traditional music of the Middle East and the world. There are many parallel events, a bazaar with products from local artisans and producers and of course, lots of wine, raki and food!
Every night from 21:00 there will be concerts in 5 stages set in the village. The crafts market starts at 19.00 and you can always visit the permanent exhibition of traditional music instruments in the Labyrinth workshop. All events are free!
