It has been elected one of the "best beaches of the world" by Discovery Channel – and no wonder why! The white sand of Ai Giannis extends from the sea to the mainland, creating impressive sand dunes adorned with ancient cedar trees. The waters are clear, warm and transparent, adding up to the exotic scenery.

Ai Giannis becomes the habitat of hundreds of 'alterinative' campers, who seek a more peaceful beach than nearby Sarakiniko. Here you will find only one tavern, a 15 minute walk away from the beach. This is also a nudist paradise and a 'hippie' community, as many people stay here for weeks, even months. This is why you will see many cedar trees converted into 'huts', made with creativity and (usually) respect to the environment – we have even seen an oven made of mud and stones. If you seek an even more peaceful beach and isolation, take everything you might need for however long you plan to stay and walk to the lovely beach of Lavrakas (20΄- 25') - a more deserted version of Ai Giannis.
