Kali Limenes or Kala Limania was named after the tranquility in the area, even when the wind is forceful. The sea is always calm in all the gulfs of Kaloi Limenes which cover all tastes: fine sand, fine pebbles, shallow waters, deep waters. In the largest beach, Makria Ammos, there are trees that tempt you to camp but keep in mind that it is really crowded during the weekends so you may lose your peace. You can find a canteen to buy cold beer or a snack at the smallest beach, the one with the fine sand. The only thing that spoils the serenity of the place (besides the noisy locals) is the oil tanks of Vardinogiannis family on a rock just across the beach. Thank God the water is crystal clear.
